 Who are we?

Spanish pharmacists not owning pharmacies are a group of professionals with very little representation within the pharmaceutical societies through out Spain as well as within the unions who theoretically should negotiate our working conditions. This fact put us in a very weak position to have any influence in the development of our own profession. Our initiative merge after realising that our authorities are only fighting for the pharmacy owner´s rights who by the way are pharmacists with the same or less qualifications than us. There are many Spanish pharmacists that do not agree with the “Mediterranean Model of Pharmacy” since we consider the working structures and pharmacist´s responsibilities are not in concordance with our qualifications and professional status.

Pharmacists not owning a pharmacy have created this group to fight for our rights which should be the same than any other healthcare professional such as Doctors, Psychologists, Architects, Lawyers, etc. We are asking and supporting the freedom of establishment proposed by Brussels and already working in Navarra (Spanish Region). We believe that all together have a chance to improve our status as pharmacists. We can get it if we stay together!

Spanish pharmacists are able to work in UK, Germany or Ireland without any restriction however pharmacists from those European Countries are not allowed to do the same. Is this fair?

Este es el medio de comunicación oficial de la Plataforma de farmacéuticos  que estamos a favor del libre establecimiento de farmacias. Dicha plataforma está registrada  como asociación.

Este medio , a diferencia de todos los demás medios de pago del sector, está focalizado única y exclusivamente en la problemática del farmacéutico adjunto y desempleado. plafarma.org es el medio que tiende una mano informativa a cerca de 40.000 farmacéuticos sin farmacia.
